How it works

3 steps, then 1 tap at every till.

  1. Step 1

    Add the cards you hold

Pick your cards from the list. Optionally save each one’s last 4 digits, expiry and a nickname so you can spot it in your wallet.

  2. Step 2

    Tap what you’re buying

Dining, groceries, online, overseas, petrol and more. Add the amount if you want the cap maths and an estimate of the miles.

  3. Step 3

    Pay with the card shown

You get 1 card, its miles per dollar and how much bonus cap is left. If a cap is about to run out, it tells you which card to use for the rest.

Questions

Which cards are covered?
58 Singapore credit cards from Amex, Bank of China, Citi, DBS, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UOB and a few others. Only the cards you add to your wallet are used for your answers.
Where does the card data come from?
From bank terms and conditions and public Singapore miles guides. Every day MaxTheMiles reads newly published articles and picks out changes to earn rates, caps and fees. Changes it is confident about are applied automatically; the rest are checked by hand first. Banks can change rules without notice, so check the card’s own terms before a big purchase.
How does it know how much cap I have left?
You record your spending on each bonus cap in the Cap Tracker. The advisor subtracts it from the card’s cap and shows what’s left and when the cap resets, using your statement date where the bank resets by statement.
Do I need to give my card number?
No. Last 4 digits and expiry are optional and only help you find the right card. MaxTheMiles never asks for a full card number, CVV, PIN or bank login, and it cannot make payments.
Does it work overseas?
Yes. Tap Overseas and it adds each card’s foreign-currency fee into the ranking, so a card with a high bonus but a big fee doesn’t automatically win.
Can I put it on my phone’s home screen?
Yes. Open the site in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android), choose “Add to Home Screen”, and it opens full-screen like an app.
Is this financial advice?
No. MaxTheMiles is an information tool. It is not affiliated with any bank, and you decide which card to use. See the Terms.
